Christmas 2012

Had an awesome Christmas. Wonderful time with my whole family in Vegas this year. Among the many wonderful blessings was a solo trip to my favorite shop there: Stitchers' Paradise. I picked up a few things including the kit for Rosewood Manor's Quaker Diamonds. It came complete with the valdani threads and I picked up a gorgeous 28ct lugana.
Finally back home, house clean laundry put away and all unpacking complete. Now for my first stitch in a long time...

By the Bay

Old WIP: "In My Fathers House". Have been working on a piece for my aunt and it's a whole lot of blue. While I want I finish it soon. I need a break. Now i will be getting an unexpected break from stitching since I will be having surgery for my wrist soon. I pray for a quick recovery and some great stitching time to come soon!

Stitching

Taking a break from cross stitching a piece for my aunt. It's from a Spanish magazine that she has had for a while. Not something I would stitch for myself and the pattern is not the easiest to read, but I have been plugging away. No pics cause its still lots of boring blue. Towards the evening I switch to crocheting on a baby blanket

Mothers day

Not much stitching going on... Trying our my new electric pressure cooker for the first time. It was one of my moms day gifts. Anyone out there have one? Still a little freaked out I was petrified of the stovetop one my mom had growing up.
